The exit of Tomas Berdych from the US Open at Flushing Meadows has left many Online Tennis Betting experts and punters in shock. Having reached the final of Wimbledon, the Grand Slam that precedes the US Open, Berdych was widely regarded as a potential finalist in this year’s final Grand Slam event.

Having suffered his surprise straight sets defeat to Michael Llodra, Berdych will now be hoping that he is capable of using the Australian Open 2011 to return to the kind of form that has seen him earn himself a career high number 7 ranking on the men’s ATP tour.

However, his exit from the US Open has created a situation in which he has given other players the opportunity to excel in a side of the draw that is now much more competitive than it was previously. One of those who could benefit is the British hope Andy Murray, who was expected to face Berdych in a quarter final match, something that the Brit will now not have to think about, giving him a far higher chance of winning his first Grand Slam title.

With Andy Roddick the other high-profile name to exit the US Open in the first round, Berdych will no doubt be one of the many players to argue that the extreme heat of the US Open has left the tournament producing a far lower standard of tennis than was hoped for by both fans and organisers.

With the US Open still in its early days but providing tennis fans with two early ATP tour betting shocks in the men’s singles event already, this year’s tournament is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable in recent history

Cheers!

American Mardy Fish is on a career-best winning streak and playing the best tennis of his life.  The season has been a typical one in Mardy Fish's up-and-down career.  He was out of the top 100 in the world rankings earlier this year but has shot up to number 35, thanks to an 11-match winning streak and earning the title at his last two tournaments. He most recently entered the Legg Mason Classic, where he will face Marin Cilic in the
next round in Washington.

Golf technique - Adjusting to windTaking a short golf shot in the wind for instance, the 2nd or 3rd shot to the green would need some fine adjustments to be made. It would not be possible to use the normally chosen club because the wind would possibly deflect the ball off place ending up rough course or in the bunker.

The wind force is weakest at the ground. A good golf shot in the wind needs to keep the ball at low altitude. A general approach to accomplish the task is to use a longer club rather than a normal shorter one. The adjustments necessary to confine and balance the extra distance that would otherwise be made:

andy murrayAndy Murray’s hunt for a new coach continues after his first choice ruled himself out of the running. Darren Cahill has said he can’t commit himself to the full time post with Murray. Cahill is the former coach of fellow Aussie Lleyton Hewitt and Andre Agassi but will continue to concentrate on his roles with Adidas and ESPN. Murray has been looking for a new coach since last week, when he split from Miles Maclagen after two and a half years.
